Dynamometer Test Results

These dynamometer test results, with variable ratio arms shifted into four different positions, show the benefit of being able to shift from one position to another. The highest torque is produced from idle to 2000 RPM at the minimum position. The second position gives maximum torque to 2500 RPM. The third position gives maximum torque to 3000 RPM. Above that speed, the maximum position gives the highest output. An engine builder with no variable valve actuation available has to choose which of the power curves he wishes and give away the others. With the Hotrocker, he gets all four.

Since the Hotrocker automatically adjusts to the RPM as it rises and falls, it literally selects the curve which gives the most power at the moment and assumes that curve.
